Lantern house on top of a 14th century brick town entrance gate, original light range unknown, but probably > 8 nm (today it has a symbolic rotating white light). The harbour entrance had a pier head with a light, including a fog horn. National monument since 1971 (nr. 20221). The fishing fleet of Harderwijk can be recognized by HK as vessel registration.
